Animals MUST be viewed as legal persons and members of the moral community as much as their human counterparts. They are NOT PROPERTY! Being part of natural law ,they have natural rights as they are sentient beings too. And thus we should naturally make it our responsibility, being the superior race, to shoulder their welfare and ensure that their interests are protected and preserved just as much..if not more..
Incorporating animal welfare into the essence of our 'One Malaysia' concept can be a sucessful way to begin this...'Unity in Diversity'...Why should diversity only be subjected to the many diverse cultural races that exists in our country alone??...Can it not comprise the ANIMAL RACE as well? Lets ALL begin with our ANIMALS! As once said by the Great Mahatma Ghandi...
